The Romolo Valli Municipal Theatre was sold out for the Butterfly Symphonic Gala, organised by the Italian Gymnastics Federation for the 225th anniversary of the Italian flag.
A series of gymnastic tableaux choreographed by national technical director Emanuela Maccarani took the discipline from leotard to stage costume and from the gym to the stage. Hosted by sports journalist Lia Capizzi and dancer Samuel Peron, the evening was a theatrical show full of colour, lasers and acrobatics, telling how a young gymnast becomes a star: a butterfly.
