1 stage. 32 artists. 14 million hearts. On 8 May 2021, World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day, Italian and international artists performed on the stage of the Blue Note in Milan, joined by figures from sport and culture, to support the work of more than 14 million volunteers around the world.
Photonika created the lighting concept and took care of the technical setup. The idea was The Human Galaxy: the Blue Note as a cluster of dynamic stars rising from a blue outer space, the upper and lower stages as the brightest core, the Catellani & Smith light sculptures as supergiants, and the candles on the empty tables, a sign of the pandemic restrictions, as small shining stars. With each performance the galaxy changed with the rhythm and colour of the music.
On stage: Bandakadabra, Bebo Ferra, Chiara Buratti, CPM House Band, Enrico Ruggeri, Ermal Meta, Franco Mussida, GnuQuartet, John McLaughlin, Malika Ayane, Mauro Masi, Milo Manara, Nanni Gaias, Niccolò Fabi, Nick the Nightfly, Nicola Lagioia, Olivia Trummer, Paolo Fresu, Stefano Di Battista, Tosca and Walter Rolfo.
